Identifying riders' needs and interpreting their expectations allows us to select only those components that truly meet their needs. This is a challenge we embraced by defining our company mission: to offer products that combine the best performance with the finest design.

The next step after study and prototyping is the cornerstone of the Research and Development department: paper sketching. A team of mechanical engineers and designers work together to create a first draft of the product, keeping in mind the combination of performance and aesthetics.

Using sophisticated design software, the sketch is rendered in three dimensions to facilitate the engineers' work, who check its geometry. During the 3D design phase, a separate but complementary data collection process—used on almost all bicycles on the market—allows the staff to ensure Cruel components are fully compatible with current standards.
