Vo and VoR represent our answer to the highest demands of any Rider in terms of chainrings. Made from the highest performing aluminum alloy available on the market: alu 7075-T6, they are machined entirely from solid with the best technologies in order to offer the end customer a perfect combination of aesthetics and performance.
The narrow-wide toothing has been appropriately modified thanks to athlete feedback, ensuring above-average chain retention on the 30%, making any chain guide superfluous even on the most selective World Cup tracks.
The safety of our products is paramount, which is why quality control phases are fundamental parts of our production process. The first step is the FEM (Finite Element Method) test, a series of software tools that allow us to perform finite element simulations. If the components pass this test without any issues, we proceed with 3D printing to create an initial prototype, which allows designers to concretely evaluate the product's aesthetic performance. From 3D printing, we move on to the production of the first small batch, known as a "control" batch, which is used for mechanical laboratory and field testing. Once the initial testing phase is complete, the components that have passed the tests are analyzed again to ensure the accuracy of the results obtained, and only from this point does mass production begin.
CROWN VO & VOR
Vo and VoR represent our answer to the highest demands of any Rider in terms of chainrings. Made from the highest performing aluminum alloy available on the market: alu 7075-T6, they are machined entirely from solid with the best technologies in order to offer the end customer a perfect combination of aesthetics and performance.
The narrow-wide toothing has been carefully modified based on athlete feedback, ensuring the 30% offers superior chain retention, eliminating the need for a chain guide even on the most demanding World Cup tracks. Obsessive attention to detail (engraved logos, top-of-the-line materials, CNC machining, and a high-quality aesthetic finish) and a class-leading weight make our chainrings an absolute benchmark among high-end products. 100% made in Italy.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Our Research and Development team studies trends and experiments with achievable performance and results. The creation of our components is a complex process, yet essential to meeting an increasingly demanding and competitive market. Identifying riders' needs allows us to select only those components that truly meet their requirements. Prototyping is followed by the work of mechanical engineers and designers, who create sketches on paper, then translate them into three-dimensional designs, thus facilitating the technicians who check the geometry. During the 3D design phase, a data collection process allows the staff to ensure the complete compatibility of Cruel components with current standards.
